RAD Communities Project
Being good stewards of the public lands we share and enjoy also means being part of the solution to illegal dumping. Unfortunately, Nevada suffers from a long history of being a place to dump and shoot at old appliances, and all users of the public lands - riders, hikers and equestrians alike - pay the price and endure the blight. RAD and many other groups like us are trying to change that reputation and restore and preserve the natural beauty of the desert. So we are here to #keeptrailsrad by cleaning up our little corner of the world.
We have partnered with Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful to put on these community clean-up efforts, but we wouldn't have anything to show for it if it were not for our amazing RAD volunteers who show up with a good attitude, ready to put some gloves on and make a real difference. |

We also want to bring awareness and encourage riders and all OHV users in Nevada to register their vehicles each year with the Nevada OHV Department so that more money can be put to work in Nevada riding areas. 100% of your $21 annual registration goes to the state OHV fund which awards grants every year to local organizations who apply fund trail projects. The more registrations, the more funding is available for organizations like RAD to carry out projects that benefit everyone. Accordingly, in 2021 we will host quarterly registration drives in which we will have law enforcement handy for VIN inspections, a notary and someone to navigate any paperwork questions.
The RADmins of Reno Area Dirt Riders are always available to assist with your OHV registration and/or titling questions. If you need help, shoot us an email at RADmins@renoareadirtriders.com. |
